The straw that broke the camel’s back
The world is slowly slipping into an era of terror and fear as terrorists attacks are multiplying nowadays. After Paris, now comes the turn of Brussel. How many other innocent lives do they need to stop doing such horrible misdeeds?
Tuesday 22th March 2016 is defiled by an act of violence perpetrated by terrorists at the airport and in an underground rail station in Brussel. The only thing passengers who were present at these two places will remember, is the smashing noise caused by the explosions which stole the life of 30 innocent persons.
Last week, the Belgian government declared that there was a probability that the country would face terrorist attacks as the Belgium’s security services laid hands on the most wanted man of the world, Salah Abdeslam suspected to have orchestrated the Paris attack which made 130 victims. Besides, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) assumed the whole responsibility for this attack. However, even if the alert has been formulated earlier, the Belgian’s authority were powerless and failed to prevent these attacks.
Up till now, six persons are suspected for this attack. Unfortunately, three of them died in the explosions they detonated and therefore will not be able to be subjected to interrogation. However, the three remaining ones are being actively sought for.
A bit too late
After a crisis meeting, the Belgian government has decided to inject $450 million in order to upgrade and strengthen its security capabilities. This decision has been taken as it seemed that Belgium served as a hideout for the terrorists of the Paris attack.
